What do you think of Stella?

No, I'm not up the duff yet, but dh and I are discussing any future lo names. We've one for a boy, but none for girls as we can't agree. I love Stella, but DH isn't keen because of Tenesee Williams and Artois, lol! What do you reckon to it?

Ah, well, I like Estelle, but it makes me think of the character from Great Expectations. Alos, the accent round here is, um, quite harsh and Estelle wouldn't sound so good I don't think.

I'm buggering off now as the boy child requires me. Thanks for all the input. I'll have a wee look in tomorrow.

It was very popular in the 60's - it's my mothers name and I've always thought it quite cool - very few of them around too

hannahsaunt · 07/05/2008 20:02

N2T - sure dh wishes we were of that family but alas no - just have a surname with more 'L's so it would be a bit of a mouthful. I do have a friend who used it for me as her dd's middle name.

suedonim · 07/05/2008 19:55

I like it though undestand the connections. What about Estelle?

nickytwotimes · 07/05/2008 19:55

hannah, is your surname Artois, lol!

It's a nice name.

Reminds me of the scary rollercoaster on Clacton pier 'Steel Stella'
