Middle name for Reuben?

Help me choose a middle name for baby Reuben? Surname begins with 'T' so middle name can't begin with 'A' or 'O' !

James is suggested as a middle name on every boy's middle name thread.
Not keen on Gabriel and it seems clunky, but Thomas is great.

Thanks a lot everyone, I'm really liking Reuben Gabriel and Reuben Thomas. Last name is 2 syllables so I can see the appeal of a 1 syllable middle name and like James, but that's my brother in law so might feel a little strange!

James was my immediate thought too!

How many syllables in your last name OP? If two or more I'd go for a one syllable middle name (boys have far more choice here than the standard girls' May/Rose/Grace etc) and James just sounds gorgeous to my ears with Reuben. If only one then I'd pick a longer middle name for balance - Matthew or Thomas work well.
