If you gave birth today (hypothetically) what do you think you would name your baby?

I think if I had a girl she would be Monroe and boy would be Atlas

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
rainbowstardrops · 26/08/2025 12:20

I can’t quite decide, so my imaginary twins would be ….
girls - Anais and Genevieve
boys - Xander and Xavier

garlictwist · 26/08/2025 11:24

I don’t have kids and no plans to have any but I would choose Nina for a girl and Sam for a boy

toadstool32 · 26/08/2025 11:22

Megan, Alyssa, Daisy
Jacob, Oliver, Theo

historyinthemaking · 26/08/2025 09:19

Boy: James
girl: Katy

but I like normal names and feel sorry for kids with stupid names (like atlas)

Iris2020 · 26/08/2025 09:16

Gregory or Lilia.

MsGoodenough · 26/08/2025 01:34

Stella, Mara or Amaia for a girl and Joel or Abel for a boy.

Bluelilacbella · 25/08/2025 08:28

Clara or Alba for a girl

Quentin or Felix for a boy

TheeNotoriousPIG · 24/08/2025 22:08

Henry or Victor for a boy.

Felicity or Honor/Honour for a girl.

wendywoopywoo222 · 24/08/2025 21:41

Roy for a boy.

Connie for a girl.

Apocketfilledwithposies · 24/08/2025 21:33

Clara

Not sure for a boy as I have boys and so have used the boys names I liked.

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 24/08/2025 21:31

Absolutely love the name Geillis (girl/Outlander).
Traditional boys names like Alexander, Andrew, George.

MarSeaLane · 24/08/2025 21:20

Felix & Eliza

They would be perfect names for BG twins. They look so good written together, sort of similar without being!

Cocktailsandcheese · 24/08/2025 20:39

Holly or Amelie for a girl, Noah or James for a boy

Blingismything · 24/08/2025 19:10

Marcus and Gabrielle

StepOff · 24/08/2025 19:04

Felix & Eliza

mummysmagicmedicine · 24/08/2025 19:00

I would choose
Dorothy and Solomon

mummysmagicmedicine · 24/08/2025 18:58

Sorry but forgetting to find where people’s opinions on the name were asked? OP asked what you would call a baby if you had one today. I know a handful of little boys called Atlas and they are all lovely boys! It’s a Greek mythological name just because you haven’t heard of it doesn’t automatically mean it’s a bad name.

Bluelilacbella · 24/08/2025 16:08

millymollyminging · 24/08/2025 07:57

Same as I called them 30 odd years ago. Classic names, not boring and not overly common.

do NOT understand the ‘I want a name no one else has’ mentality. Atlas? Really??

Not that I particularly like Atlas but I’d much rather have an interesting and memorable name than a boring overused classic. My surname is boring enough

Busted2006 · 24/08/2025 15:32

Francesca and Thomas

Iris for a girl, Jasper for a boy.

Have you seen the film ‘The holiday’ with Jude Law? These are 2 names used. Great names, love them 😊

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/08/2025 07:28

Rafferty or Hebe

Itsnottheheatitsthehumidity · 24/08/2025 00:49

Atlas sounds nice though I don't like the association with having the heavens on your shoulders.

My boy would be called Magnus and my girl would be called Hera or Athena or Minerva.

nopiesleftinthisvehicle · 24/08/2025 00:26

Boy: Michael or James

Girl Anastasia (it must be pronounced the Greek way though: Anas-Ta-Sia

So I would probably give up and go for Grace. 😁

SunsetOverEasterIsland · 24/08/2025 00:20

Atticus for a boy
India for a girl
