We are considering this name for baby number 2. I like Lili as a nickname too, but would prefer Liliana. Wdyt?

Personally I much prefer similar but more simple/elegant Lilia - and that way you can easily still use Lili as a diminutive (but imo Lilia is not quite as much as a mouthful to say as 4 syllable Liliana). I don’t dislike the sound of Liliana though and she’d certainly fit in with her peers too as longer “a” ending names seem quite in style at the moment (Olivia, Amelia, Isabella etc)

I'd pronounce it as the second option. I prefer Lily.

I do prefer Lilian, but DH prefers Liliana!

I find it really boring. Just seems to fit almost every current name trend for girls into a single name.
