It was my first choice for a boy (since little always was going to call a boy James) but sadly dh aboslutely hated - said he would call him Jim or Jimbo so we have a Jack and Max instead.

YES fine scottish name

LaComtesse · 02/05/2008 23:42

Yes - this was on my list of names for a ds. It's a family name as it was important for me to honour my child with one of my GP;s names. Turned out to be a shortened version of my Nan's name which is her second middle name!

Quite like Thomas-the-Tank-Engine, too . No, James is a fab name - do you like Jim?

LyraSilvertongue · 02/05/2008 23:38

Yes, DS2 was almost James but dp said he'd probably call him Jimmy, which i hate.
He's now Jake and I love his name. He does too.

Lazylou · 02/05/2008 23:37

Yep, DD wanted to call DS James until she was browsing through the Arogs catalogue and came across Thomas the Tank Engine .

It's a lovely name and reminds me of so many lovely people.
