Lyra's sibling is called...

36 weeks pregnant and the sex of the baby is a surprise.

For a boy we love Harry and that will be his name.

Girls is the struggle. We can't have/don't want another L name, which rules out names we like such as Lilian. Our surname is also a colour, so we don't want a flower or gem.

Don't like anything too twee or floral sounding. Would like something feminine and strong, like Lyra....

Names we like but won't use:
Lilian
Ruby
Charlotte
Sienna
Violet
Harper

Names we like and might potentially use:
Bridget (Bridie)
Nina
Harriet (Hattie)
Eloise

If anyone has any other suggestions please give me your thoughts!

Harriet, Bridget, Sienna, and Eloise are all lovely and imo would be lovely names to go with Lyra.

I really love both Harriet and Bridget and their nicknames.

Congrats OP! I was hoping for a Nina 😊 I’ve got a Nina and I love her name. My vote is Nina Alexandra it flows beautifully

Congratulations! Lovely name. What did you go with for middle name in the end?

Still undecided. I'd like Harriet but my husband really wants Alexandra (his middle name is Alexander and we would have used that if he was a boy, plus DD1's middle name is after my nana so it would be a nod to his side also) but I worry about too many "a" sounds in the name.....

What does everyone think:

Nina Harriet (surname - colour)
Nina Alexandra (surname -colour)

Harriet has an obvious nickname in Harry

i know two Nina’s. Both get called “Neen” which isn’t as pretty
