Is it still short as 5th December?

I can't see a date on their website. I wondered if I was looking in the wrong place

Yeah. I think it makes sense to do that, rather than have them a whole year late… or even publish them February… surely one month is enough to collate all the data 😂. 12 months is excessesive!

especially the 2022 ONS, that was nearly 18 months late.

@BoleynMemories13 now says due 5 December ! We have a date!

🤞🏻 They keep to it.

Hopefully a sign that they're getting back on an even keal after the ridiculous delay with the 2022 data. 5th December will only be 2-4 months later than they had been releasing them in recent years, which was usually August-October of the following year.

Still quite out of date though, considering some of those "babies" are nearly 2. I definitely think many will assume it to be the 2024 data. I remember back in the day when they use to release the data for each year in the December of that year, a week or so before Christmas, and any babies not born or registered yet that year were counted on the next year's data. That was back in the 00s.

Amazing! I’ve been checking frequently. A FOI request months ago said Summer 2024, but that came and went with nothing.

December 2024 according to the ONS release calendar (but it does say provisional, so if the 2022 data is anything to go by expect it to be pushed back several times sigh )
