It wasn't a name for something already?
Such as Chlamydia.

  • nicorette- nicky or etty
  • coffee - has the soft f sound and popular ie sound
  • lawn - unisex but like a cross between Dawn and Lauren

@MrsMoastyToasty "Chaise longue. Sister to Couch (male), Foot-Stool (male) and Sofa (female )."

They have a baby sister called Commode...

You're missing Divan (could be unisex).

I seem to remember a previous thread in this vein where someone dug out a list of names that had actually been registered in France, memorably including Anomalie.

CurlewKate · 25/10/2024 20:45

My mother once suggested Margarine when we were playing this game!

TheLittleOldWomanWhoShrinks · 25/10/2024 20:44

Rubeola and Varicella would be nice twin names. Variola (aka smallpox...) is quite nice too.

Music is a good source: Hemiola, Clef, Clarinet (good strong unisex name, I think), Trill, Fermata, Allegro, or, for the really adventurous, Acciaccatura (Accia or Tura for short).

Really liking Iodine and Lino.

As a teen, I decided that Antimony and Bismuth would make good names for the female and male protagonists in a fairytale. The faithful elderly maid of Princess Antimony was called Rust.

But also, what about
Embryo
Vileda
Candelabra (Barbara's twin)
Theatre
Celebrity
Tangent
Badger
Poinsettia
Philately
Acrylic
