Marigold, Romilly - any others?

What are your thoughts on Romilly ("Romy") or Marigold ("Goldie") for a baby sister to Clara? Any other ideas? I also love Clementine and Margot but my DH isn't keen. We like old fashioned English names that aren't overdone but are not totally weird - feels like a hard balance!

Romilly.

Not Romy, as it doesn't make sense. The first syllable of Romilly is Ro not Roe.

I love marigold and Romilly! They are unusual compared to Clara though but work ok.

The first thing that I think of when I hear Marigold is either a cow or the butter brand. It’s an absolute no from me.

Romilly is alright but getting quite overused amongst all of the Romys etc.

How about Meridith nn Meri? Not keen on Marigold...makes me think of the gloves. And not keen on Goldie as a nn, Mari might be better. Romilly is OK.

I like both Romilly and Marigold - but I don’t think you’ll be able to prescribe diminutives.

I really love Marigold. I love the flower. I love the name. And Goldie is such a sweet nickname.
I also like the names Posy and Dahlia. But Marigold is a winner. And it sounds sweet with sister Clara.

I love Romilly, but am not keen on 'Goldie' - reminds me of a character that was/is in Hollyoaks.

I had a great aunt called Clara, her sisters were, Molly, Evelyn, Winifred and Olive. (All born about 1920-ish).

Evelyn was pronounced Eve lin.

I had another gt aunt called Evelyn pronounced Ev lin

I love both. I think I would choose Romilly if it's up to me. I think they both go with Clara

One that seems in the same vein is Gloria, perhaps NN Glo.
