Bertie ? Nothing longer that would be his registered name if so any middle name inspo we have a one syllable surname that's Irish

Robert?
Then you/he have a choice,

Bertie
Robbie
Bobby
Bob
Rob

I think call him Albert or Robert as suggested above and nick name Bertie.

OtterOnAPlane · 07/10/2024 21:05

It could be a shortening of Robert, too (Robert is a great name).

StressedQueen · 07/10/2024 20:59

If you want Bertie though, Albert is perfectly fine and still gives him a full name for later on

StressedQueen · 07/10/2024 20:58

I reallyy don't like it , sorry, especially as the full name!

My daughter's history teacher named her child Bertram nickname Bertie and regretted it and ended up changing it

@Pomegranatemum what else was on your boy list 😜
I absolutely adore Rocky too I can't decide between the two

Love it. Was near the top of my boy name list, albeit as a diminutive of Albert.

PreggersWithBaby2 · 07/10/2024 20:16

I think it's cute for a baby and I can picture an adult Bertie but just can't picture a teenage Bertie. But my view could be tainted because I'm Irish and the only Bertie I know is the ex Irish taoiseach!
