I think I slightly prefer Jacob but it's a lot more popular. So Joel would be a bit different...

Or any other suggestions?

We liked, but I think have ruled out Miles and Sebastian. Also considered Patrick and Jesse.

Jacob is one of my favourite boys names, so that would be my choice. I do like Joel too though, and as you say, it’s much less commonly used, which is nice.

I prefer Jacob.

But I like some of your other options better! Especially Patrick. But also Miles and Sebastian.
