I teach German and rules are rules - not like our bastard beautiful language - 7 different pronunciations for the letter combination "ough"

I like May as a middle name - meant to give it or Maya to our DD (she was born in May) but forgot!! lol

Ila is Ila Grace Bowe but neither of them begin with C so not much use. Were going to have Mae (esp as she was born in May) as a middle name but therer are SO many Mae's around here...

oh, have been in the UK for like 13 years though!
My german friends always comment on the way I now speak german, lol....apparently I speak german, but with an english intonation...i.e. highlighting different parts of teh words as I speak, lol...

wis seems to be a common german problem...I mena the pronounciation of th....but I think I can manage it quite well....tbh, people that hear me speak tend towonder if I am either South African or from OZ or from the Netherlands....usually people can not believe that I am german, lol

lol Bubba...oh we had plenty of fun when choosing names for our ds's....
me going through a name book (english one), stumbling over a name I thought I might like and asking dh:
"How do you pronounce this name....?" spelling whichever name I am asking about out ....
dh's response : "How do I know?"
me: "well, you are the englishman...!"
him: "and?"

need I say more...lol
