Final 4!

I've posted before, about a brother for Alasdair. Middle name will be Michael.

Our sweet baby is 2 weeks old and our final 4 name choices are:

Edmund
Adrian
Elliott
Rowan (too popular?)

Please don't suggest anything else but thoughts on these 4 would be helpful, thanks.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Kitkat1523 · 26/08/2024 18:12

Rowan
edmund is too brigerton

Marmiteontoastgirlie · 26/08/2024 18:12

I only like Edmund and Adrian from your list - Edmund my favourite from the two. (I know you said no suggestions but Julian would work well as well!).

Elliot was always a little shit at my school so hard no from me.

Rowen sounds quite hippie to me and like his sister would be Skye or brother Amos or something like that - not something classic like Alasdair.

I like Edmund the best. I also think Edmund goes better than Alasdair, at least better than the rest of list. I also love Elliott, but not as much as Edmund and don't think it goes that well.
I find Adrian fine, but it's name I never wanted to use. I just think of Adriatic sea, and Rowan is also popular among girls and not only popular, but popular in last 10-20 years, which makes it trendy, because Rowan was barely used before that.

EmiliaRuusuvuori · 26/08/2024 18:10

Rowan is the nicest and goes well with Michael.

17caterpillars1mouse · 26/08/2024 18:10

I'm not usually a fan of siblings having the same name but I actually really like Adrian - it's unexpected and perhaps the hours I've spent watching Miraculous ladybug with dds have made it seem cool.

Second choice would be Elliott.

Alasdair is awesome BTW. Congrats on your second boy

shoopshoopdedoo · 26/08/2024 18:09

Edmund is my favourite

Adrian and Elliott are OK

I don’t like Rowan at all

pinkyredrose · 26/08/2024 18:06

Elliott!

marshmallowfinder · 26/08/2024 18:05

Rowan. Not at all keen on the others I'm afraid.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 26/08/2024 17:58

Rowan, by some way.

Firebird83 · 26/08/2024 17:41

Edmund, definitely.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 26/08/2024 17:41

I like them all, but like Rowan best.

FortunataTagnips · 26/08/2024 17:40

LennyBalls · 26/08/2024 17:17

Edmund reminds me of Blackadder sorry.

Elliott - too Towie sounding.

Adrian okay.

Rowan - prob my fave.

Edmund reminds you of Blackadder but Rowan doesn’t? 🤣

FortunataTagnips · 26/08/2024 17:39

Edmund

Velvetbee · 26/08/2024 17:38

Edmund.

neverenoughwine · 26/08/2024 17:37

Oooh, this one is tough as I don't love any! (Sorry)

Rowan is my top choice

Elliot, I used to love but I've heard too many mums screaming this name

Adrian - nope! I just don't think it's cute or handsome!

Completely forgot the other one!

Dithercats · 26/08/2024 17:36

Edmund & Alasdair sounds nicest

TeamPolin · 26/08/2024 17:34

Elliott
Edmund and Rowan joint second.

About 60 miles behind..... Adrian

Newsenmum · 26/08/2024 17:32

Oh they’re all lovely. I think Adrian goes the most, even though it’s two As. Edmund is nice but he’ll be Eddy. Rowan I love but it’s very popular and doesn’t feel like Alisdair (to me). I also like Elliot but pretty popular.

ohmydays37 · 26/08/2024 17:29

Rowan by far. Lovely name and not over used.

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 26/08/2024 17:28

Adrian

I love this name. It’s so underrated and deserves love in Baby Naming World. ☺️
Alasdair and Adrian work so beautifully as sibling names.

Congratulations, OP. 💐

Firsttimebabymummy · 26/08/2024 17:26

Rowan is my favourite by far.

TomatoSandwiches · 26/08/2024 17:25

I like Rowan but it suits very few boys imo

Adrian would be my choice.

MyStylish40s · 26/08/2024 17:24

Rowan is my favourite

JLT24 · 26/08/2024 17:23

Elliott and Rowan are cute

Edmund & Adrian sound like boring old men’s names

Gloschick · 26/08/2024 17:22

My daughter had 2 Elliots (with same surname initial) in her class, so you may find that is more common than Rowan.
