I like Milo more than eli, never heard a dog called that way. I think it started rising in popularity because if the actor Milo Ventimiglia

The only Milos I know are dogs so I would choose eli.

I called my son Milo, I fell in love with it. Even with the general 'it's a pets name ' comments.
I do like Eli too however but Milo's a winner!
