Which is your favourite?

Caledon and Tennyson
Emeric and Omri
Eben and Gable
Hart and Ivo
Penny and Roscoe
Inigo and Ozias
Hale and Gray

They're all very 'out there' but I suspect that's what you want. I don't like any of them, barring perhaps Roscoe.

I wish people would remember kids have to live with these names their whole lives, instead of just focusing on being edgy and different.

TrustPenguins · 03/08/2024 21:54

Roscoe and Gray(son)

BetteLaSwet · 03/08/2024 21:49

Have you made them all up?

dizzydizzydizzy · 03/08/2024 17:57

I don't like any of them either because I prefer traditional names like Matthew and Mark. The most 'out there' names I like would be Howard or Harvey or Finley.

It doesn't matter whether I like them. As long as you like them, that is all that matters.

Calliopespa · 03/08/2024 14:37

And Hale?! As in “ hale and hearty?” Just as well you hadn’t combined Hale and Hart.

People would think Hart was heart 💜 and I can’t imagine a man liking that as his name.

Maybe Inigo and Roscoe. Or Ivo and Roscoe.

Calliopespa · 03/08/2024 14:34

Do they have to be in those pairings? Because if so there isn’t a decent option.

Honestly oP most of these are just being way OTT in trying too hard.

Penny is a girls name.

Emeric sounds like Emetic.

Ozias is an actual name but does sound like it’s short for Ozymandias or like a teen with a crush on Hozier might call a dc.

Gable! Really? It’s a part of a type of roof! It’s like calling your dc Flying Buttress or something. Did you mean Gabriel? Or were you thinking of Clark Gable?

Caledon sounds like a hybrid of cauliflower and kale and also looks like celadon spelt wrongly.

Of all of them Inigo and Ivo are ok - nice even - but not together.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. They are people not accessories . I don’t mean to be harsh but it just isn’t fair to dc to play round so much with naming.

EducatingArti · 03/08/2024 14:26

Have you thought of Romulus and Remus?

otravezempezamos · 03/08/2024 14:21

They’re all pretty weird
But please don’t give a male child a girl’s name.

Mayhemmumma · 03/08/2024 14:20

Arben is much better than Eben

Mayhemmumma · 03/08/2024 14:19

Ivo is nice

user1492757084 · 03/08/2024 13:48

From your list I like best..
Hart and Ivo.
Inigo and Ozias.

Others you might like..
Hartley and Ivor
Inigo and Gaudi
Enric and Inigo

Normallynumb · 03/08/2024 00:14

I wouldn't choose any of those, they're all a bit try hard

Aquamarine1029 · 02/08/2024 23:18

I really, really don't like any of them, and I tend to like slightly unusual names. Not these.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 02/08/2024 23:15

None. Terrible.
Penny? Really!!!!

Yokaiwatch · 02/08/2024 22:54

Sorry but I don’t like any of those names? What country are you in?

How long until your boys are here?

Irie1980 · 02/08/2024 22:48

Wow, no. A bit too try-hard for me.

GoodVibesHere · 02/08/2024 22:46

Well, that's quite a bonkers list.

RisingMist · 02/08/2024 22:45

Ivo is a very good name. How about Ivo and Edmund, Ivo and Louis, or Ivo and Maximus?

I don't like any of your other choices, many of which sound made up. Whatever you do, please do not call a boy Penny. You might just as well call him Susan.

Justrolledmyeyesoutloud · 02/08/2024 22:38

So many oppprtunties for a great pairing of names, but none on your list. Sorry op don't like any of them

KirstenBlest · 02/08/2024 22:35

Emerick seems a better spelling but I'm only familiar of it from the actor Louis Emerick. Louis Emerick - Wikipedia

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 02/08/2024 22:29

Ivo, Inigo, Gray, Roscoe, Ozias, Omri and Eben are uncommon but at least known as forenames - and I personally quite like them, especially the first two.

So my favourite as a pair would be Inigo and Ozias.

I also think as using surnames for forenames is trendy now, you can probably get away with Caledon and Tennyson or Hale and Gray - even though that trend isn’t my cup of tea personally.

But as others have said please don’t use Penny for a boy, it would be unfair to him and Gable sadly might cause teasing too (“Gay Boy”) as it’s much more uncommon than Gabriel. Hart will also likely get called Fart and I’m afraid Emeric sounds medical to me, even though I’m aware it’s a name used in other countries (similar style Alaric is nice though?).

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/08/2024 19:54

You can’t call a boy Penny.
To mix them up Roscoe and Ozias are okay

goneveryquiet · 02/08/2024 19:42

I like Eben and Ivo

Notanewbee · 02/08/2024 17:05

Bloody hell.

Mumofgirls2017 · 02/08/2024 16:21

Hart and Ivo
inigo and Ozias
