Betty and Libby are both lovely diminutives. Liz kind of conjures up a older woman in leopard print but that's too much Coronation street in my formative years. And Bess or Betsy seem a bit matronly

It really is the motherload of nicknames!

The late Queen Elizabeth the queen mother was apparently Buffy in childhood (vampire slaying ability unknown)
