Just got back from the park where we met a child called Tiara. Obviously I can't vouch for the spelling but thought all you expectant mummies would be dying to add that one to your lists...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm pretty sure Switzerland is the same, houseofmirth. Dd was born there and I seem to remember a list of names approved by the Canton and you had to choose from it. Not sure if foreigners (ie not Swiss Nationals) were exempt though.

Is this not a form of child abuse? Or do you think it's character building?

Have I made this up or is it Portugal where there is a list of names approved by the State from which you are allowed to chose? Would that be better or worse do you think?

I've heard of a mum who has named her daughter Twinkle.
