Help me pick a name please.

Hello everyone,

baby is coming in less than 10 days and she doesn’t have a name yet.

my husband really likes Evana, but i don’t like picking a religious name for her, even tho I’m Christian myself.

what do you all think?

Leah by a long way!

Evana will have problems with spelling as it will often be spelt Ivana, also it falls into the Eve, Evie group of names which has been so popular for such a long time.

Some girls' names have mean vibes to me but others like the names.

Leah is the most appropriate of the three but where I come from girls with that name don't have the best reputation.

What about Isabelle?

Never heard of Evana only Ivana. I like it a lot. Next would be Myla. Dislike Leah.

Despite some saying they find Leah 'dated', I would 100% rather choose a classic name like this, despite it not being overly popular these days, than something uber trendy like Myla which definitely will date her to the 2020s when she's older. Whereas nobody would be able to guess how older a Leah is because it's been well used throughout different eras.

Evana isn't for me at all. I like Evelyn, Eva, Eve (and Evan for a boy) but Evana is too fussy for me.

I don't see Evana as a really obviously religious name, even though it is biblical. However, I would consider adding another n anyway (Evanna), as "Evana" is now the name of an over-the-counter heavy period relief medication...

I think Evana/Evanna and Leah choice depends on syllables in surname and any middle name. How does the full name roll off the tongue. And of course, what seems to suit her when she arrives.

Is Evena pronounced Evan-a, or E-var-na? Either way it’s my least favourite of the three.

Biblical Leah is the most classic so would definitely be my pick.

Second choice would be Evana -which I haven’t seen before (but assume is a feminine version of Evan) and looks quite pretty.

Really not keen on Myla - it looks like a recent invention to fit in with all the Lyra/Lila’s and Mila/Maya’s about.
