Out of interest, where are you based? I have a Jude (10mo) in SE and we've only come across one in classes although aware it's popular online!

We've found the same! Everyone on here goes on about how common it is but my Jude is the only one I know in our local area. I know of 2 others through friends on Facebook, that don't live so near. When we've visited somewhere we've heard one little boy called Jude before. People always seem surprised when I say his name as though they haven't heard it much! It is funny how it seems to differ by area.
Here Albie and Arlo are the ones I always hear.
We are in East Anglia.

Names like Eva, Evelyn, Ava, Amelia (that’s actually half of my antenatal group and I get them confused as their so similar.

Boys I’ve noticed quite a few Ezra’s.

ajanifear · 20/06/2024 22:44

Arlo, Theo, Luca, Jude, Otis, Rudy, Sonny are the stand out more trendy boy names around here at the moment. Still a good number of baby Oliver / Jack / Freddie / Alfie / Leo as there have been for several years. The other one that has surprised me is that I’ve met two babies called Rome in the last 6 months. I’d never heard of someone called Rome before then.

Girls the more trendy feeling names here are Mabel, Clara, Maeve, Esme, Orla, Alba, Nova. also still lots of ie names that blend a bit, Nellie, Rosie, Mollie, Tillie, Evie, Annie, Gracie etc.

Definitely a trend for short girls names ending in ‘a’. Normally 3 or 4 letters. The majority of girls in nursery seem to have a name like this: Luna, Lyra, Maya, Mia, Isla, Ava etc. No repeats but all very similar!

Mumofgirls2017 · 20/06/2024 18:41

Arlo, Elodie, Lily, Florence, Freddie, Oscar, Sophia, Penelope, Rowan, Rory, George, Joshua, Isabelle, Ivy, Alexander
