Very different feel for our DD due in one week. What name is your favourite and why?
Last name is Ross.
Thank you 🥰

Esmae.

I prefer Alexandra. Strong but feminine. And if you wish, you can shorten to Alex or Allie.

Alexandra is a beautiful classic name.

Esme is a bit of a current fad and not very nice sounding.

DayIntarnishedarmour · 12/06/2024 22:52

Unhelpful but I really like both. Esme slightly more so for me. Good luck for next week.

I think Esme is gorgeous and flows better with your surname.
Also prefer the meaning of Esme as opposed to Alexandra.

Esme

@Smellz714 I will use the long form Alexandra as I love the full name, not bothered about anyone else using Alex, and I think Sasha is a cute nn.

Nice to hear from an Alexandra! How do you like your name? How do you and others call you?

Was going to vote for Alexandra (my name!) but the 'R' at the end of the first name and start of the surname means it doesn't flow so well. Alex Ross is lovely though, any thoughts on preferred shortenings?

@CubaWooba amazing suggestion! Sadly DH doesn't like Esther.
