I'm due DS in just over 2 weeks and am undecided on a name. Which name do you prefer? Charlie or Stanley. Big brother is Louie.

I think I’d go for Charlie - a nice, cheerful and friendly sounding name. I like Stanley too though - I know a very cool teenage Stanley and it suits him brilliantly, so it doesn’t have old man associations for me any more.

Charlie is much nicer than Stan!

Stanley without a doubt.

Stanley cup!

Charlie 100%. Would go for Charles on the birth certificate though in order to give him a more formal option when he’s older

I know a Charlie & Louie sibset - they go great together

I love Charlie but it is quite common. Not sure about Stanley but it might be a grower.
We liked Sidney too.

Love the name Stanley.

Charles - Charley 10/10
It's less old many than Stanley.
Too many girls are called Charlie.

Charlie is a lovely cheerful name. Stanley just sounds such an old man's name, although I understand it's come into fashion again. I don't see the appeal.

Both are fantastic names. I’d go Stanley for two reasons. I’m a teacher and see so many Charlie’s both boy and girl. Also I find Louie and Stanley sound better together
