Hi. Can I have your opinions on Lucius please. For a boy

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Nice as a second name, but too much potential for attracting bullying I reckon.

LardoBurrows · 25/05/2024 13:47

I prefer Lucian, Lucas or Luca.

MaybeItWasMe · 25/05/2024 13:44

A definite NO for me. Always pretentious but now also inextricably linked with Harry Potter slimeball.

Moreteaandchocolate · 25/05/2024 13:39

I prefer Lucian I think - less Harry Potter associations :)

Nittersing · 25/05/2024 13:33

I'd happily use it. I had it on my list but we used a different name instead.

Catlicker · 25/05/2024 13:33

Devil and Malfoy

averylongtimeago · 25/05/2024 13:29

No- he will be called Lucy.

whatageareyou · 25/05/2024 13:20

Yep to Malloy, if you don't mind that it's a lovely name

raspberryjamjar · 25/05/2024 13:19

I immediately think Malfoy!

LoveStories · 25/05/2024 13:10

I like it, but my only issue is pronunciation -- LOO-shus vs LUCY-us.

Pieceofpurplesky · 25/05/2024 13:10

It's a great name, and I doubt kids would call him luscious Lucius. Maybe Lit Lucius in today's language.

I taught a Lucius - most kids called
Him Lu.

Tigertigertigertiger · 25/05/2024 13:03

He'll get called Lucy. Not that that's a bad thing

oldnorsesaga · 25/05/2024 13:01

I love it! It is on my list.
I read Harry Potter and forget most of it.

ByPeachSeal · 25/05/2024 12:55

I love it! But the Harry Potter connection is too strong for me.

Aquamarine1029 · 25/05/2024 12:47

Hard no, sorry. Too "luscious" sounding and too similar to Lucifer. I can imagine kids at school calling him Luscious Lucius, although it would be a fabulous moniker if he became a wrestler, boxer or exotic male dancer.

mimiscards · 25/05/2024 12:44

I like the way it sounds and looks.
