Thoughts on Flora Green?
Obviously Green is the surname.

Sweet.

GreenShady · 27/05/2024 12:25

Floriana is very nice too but more frilly

ZiggyZowie · 25/05/2024 21:48

How about. Florina, it's nice

Fluorine?

Lonelycrab · 26/05/2024 23:22

Cheap margarine. Sorry.

HcbSS · 26/05/2024 23:21

Flora is a beautiful name. The Green bit sounds like you picked it for its nature connotations but it’s still very nice.
(please don’t abbreviate to Flossie)

RuthW · 26/05/2024 23:19

Sounds like a florist.

Flora Green is an attractive enough name.
I see nothing wrong with it.
Yes, there is a plant association but that is positive.

I also like the sound of other names with Green,,
Laura Green
Florence Green
Willow Green

The first thing that comes to mind for me is vaginal flora, yeast infections 😩 I like it but as a nurse I feel like I have too many connotations

Loved it but completely ruined for me by someone talking about vaginal flora. Then noticed it on yoghurt adverts discussing gut flora. Shame.

Not with Green. Flora is a gorgeous name, but with the surname Green, it doesn't work unfortunately. Green isn't the easiest of surnames if you like nature related first names.

I agree.

Elmlee · 26/05/2024 02:07

At the end of the day.

It's your baby. Who cares what others think. There's always someone who won't like it.

But if you love it and your feel it's her name do it 🥰

Florence is much nicer especially with your surname.

Don’t like Flora and yes reminds me of margarine also.

Florinda can be an option

ZiggyZowie · 25/05/2024 21:48

How about. Florina, it's nice

Frostfable · 25/05/2024 21:43

Sorry flora is a terrible name especially when put with Green

bomi · 25/05/2024 17:54

I love it!!

Sandysandwich · 25/05/2024 17:53

Personally I don't like it with Green, its a bit 'planty' and makes me think of Zoflora with the green label

FangsForTheMemory · 25/05/2024 17:53

Fleur?

Dontcrymysweetpotato · 25/05/2024 17:42

I love the name Flora but Flora Green sounds too naturey to me. Like you either didn't realise the connotation or were tree-huggers. It's not too bad but there might be some smirks through her life.

Amx · 25/05/2024 17:33

Spreads easily is vile but wood put me off.

Flora Green sounds like a florist.

Elmlee · 25/05/2024 17:31

Floria is very cute or you could go for Flore or Florrie which are variations of it x

Molone · 25/05/2024 17:27

If the surname is Green I would choose Laura over Flora, sounds similar but less like a butter.

Rainingsincenovember · 25/05/2024 17:20

I love Flora and know three (aged 8, 4 and 1) but I don't think it works very well with Green.

Firsttimebabymummy · 25/05/2024 14:57

Much prefer Florance, nn Flora. Especially with Green as a surname- sound like a cleaning brand as mentioned above.

GreenShady · 25/05/2024 12:47

I love it, I had it lined up for one of mine who turned out to be a boy!
