That name always reminds me of poor little Jaxon Strong who lived such a miserable life, courtesy of his deluded parents, before dying at 5 years old.
Go with Jackson.

I know a teenage Jackson and it suits him. It’s not my usual style of names but I don’t dislike it at all.

Spelled Jackson is better.
The one I know is Jaxson. X and S.

Not keen. Didn't even realize it was meant to sound like Jackson as I kind of said it as 'jacks on'. I do like Jax however so Jackson known as Jax seems good .

It's extremely popular, so I wouldn't worry about people thinking it unusual, I've met at least 5. I prefer Jackson.
