Any thoughts?

OP posts:

Awful name.

Jackson is acceptable.

SallyWD · 10/05/2024 22:43

It's really, really bad.

Remaker · 10/05/2024 22:01

AHFaemale · 10/05/2024 21:42

Are you australian op? It is awful.

I am Australian and I do know a Jaxon in his early 20s! Bloody awful name then and now. For research purposes I have just downloaded the top 100 names of 2023 in NSW (not committed enough to check every state sorry) and while Jackson comes in at 72 I am relieved to report than Jaxon does not feature. So there were fewer than 87 Jaxons born here last year.

How about Joseph?

Devilsmommy · 10/05/2024 21:51

Charlie2121 · 10/05/2024 20:50

Absolutely appalling chav name. Wouldn’t look out of place in a Vicky Pollard sketch.

So true 🤣 does anyone even remember Vicky Pollard though 😆😆😆😆

ISeeTheLight · 10/05/2024 21:50

Horrendous, especially with that spelling. Up there with Neveah etc. This will date unbelievably badly. I also can't imagine a Prime Minister Jaxon or a barrister etc with that name.
Jackson is also not my cup of tea but a lot less chavvy.

Wrennie4 · 10/05/2024 21:48

Terrible. On the same lines as Jayden/ Hayden/ Kayden.

BirthdayRainbow · 10/05/2024 21:48

Awful. Trying to be cool when it's anything but.

VeraForever · 10/05/2024 21:47

I don't like the word 'chavy' but I'd use it in relation to your prospective name.
Sorry, really.

Reugny · 10/05/2024 21:45

If the father is called Jack then "Jackson" is fine or see if you can do a Prince Harry

Otherwise nope.

Figgygal · 10/05/2024 21:44

Yeah its bad
Really bad sorry

Reugny · 10/05/2024 21:43

0wlQueen · 10/05/2024 21:04

Not my style but I don't hate it.

I'd find Jason more interesting choice.

70s name revival!

AHFaemale · 10/05/2024 21:42

Are you australian op? It is awful.

Exasperatednow · 10/05/2024 21:41

Awful.
Not keen on Jackson either...

abracadabra1980 · 10/05/2024 21:40

Chavvy-especially the spelling.

ontheflighttosingapore · 10/05/2024 21:39

Sorry I do not like it neither do I like Jackson

CJ0374 · 10/05/2024 21:39

I know a Jaxson and also a Jaxx, both about 8, but neither live in the UK. Compared to Jaxx, which sounds like a cleaning product, Jaxson is better.
What about Jack, or even William with nn Jack?

Topseyt123 · 10/05/2024 21:39

No! Don't.

twentysevendresses · 10/05/2024 21:35

Beyond awful 🤦‍♀️

Jeannie88 · 10/05/2024 21:34

Sorry but a no from me, sounds like trying to be cool but isn't. Xx

MaryFuckingFerguson · 10/05/2024 21:31

Dreadful. Jackson is awful. Jaxon is just beyond.

eileandubh · 10/05/2024 21:29

Actually, next to Jaxon, Jason starts to look like it's ready for a revival.
