I think Jackson is fine. The Jaxon spelling is so very ugly though.

I know a Jaxson and also a Jaxx, both about 8, but neither live in the UK. Compared to Jaxx, which sounds like a cleaning product, Jaxson is better.
What about Jack, or even William with nn Jack?

How the heck do you get the nn Jack from William?! 🤔🤣

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2024 08:42

@Harrypotterthor Paediatric nurse. We are all very cynical about names.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 11/05/2024 08:41

Honestly, in my experience they are naughty....

Xyz1234567 · 11/05/2024 07:51

In the spirit of Eurovision, it's a definite nul points.

catlady7 · 11/05/2024 07:46

I like it

RightOnTheEdge · 11/05/2024 07:46

Sorry, I think it's chavvy as well.
Jackson is better.

BreatheAndFocus · 11/05/2024 07:43

Awful! Jaxon the claxon! It’s an ugly name IMO. I don’t like Jackson either because it reminds me of jacksy and I dislike surnames being used as forenames.

All those similar “-on” ending names sound ugly to me, and americanised.

ColdInApril · 10/05/2024 23:14

To me it’s like the modern equivalent of Wayne.

EricHebbornInItaly · 11/05/2024 07:15

Awful name, trashy and common. Sounds more American trailer park than chavy to me. Honestly do some parents hate their children and want others to prejudge them?

Weird. When I named my daughter I picked a name that work for any career, accountant, ballerina, farmer or judge. It’s still an unusual name, without the need for funny spelling to be ‘different’.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/05/2024 20:50

Awful and very common now. We get at least one a week at work. Not as bad as Jaxxon though.

Why, what job do you do?

Cuckoochanel80 · 11/05/2024 05:21

Eurrgh, no, horrible. Chavvy and cringeworthy.

SlothsNeverGetIll · 11/05/2024 04:45

Hideous. Sorry.

spanieleyes · 11/05/2024 04:42

I know a Jackson, Jaxon and Jaqson. Much prefer the first!

PineappleTime · 11/05/2024 04:37

WHYYY would you take a normal name like Jackson and fuck it up with that weird spelling? It makes my brain itch.

Georgie743 · 11/05/2024 03:50

I'm a teacher. Sooo many Jaxson, Jaxon, Jacksxon(yep!), Jaylen, Jayden, etc. 95% of them are from really feral families.

Livinginaclock · 11/05/2024 01:25

Absolutely dreadful, please don't.

mathanxiety · 11/05/2024 01:23

Jackson is nice.

Jaxon isn't.

VelvetTurtle · 11/05/2024 01:19

very ugly name (sorry)

ColdInApril · 10/05/2024 23:14

To me it’s like the modern equivalent of Wayne.

SnowFrogJelly · 10/05/2024 23:12

Strongly dislike. It looks like Jackson but make it more unique
