eva. it's lovely

Surr3ymummy · 02/04/2008 15:37

All are nice, but like Rose the best, but am a bit biased as my grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother were all called Rose.

I think it's a lovely traditional English name.

Eva is fab - DD almost 2 is called that and her surname is very similar to one of your other choices - lots of nice comments about her name.

VersdeSociete · 02/04/2008 15:18

aroseisaroseisarose.
Go for Rose.
Lovely, by far the nicest.
Evas and Eves are everywhere.

lanismum · 02/04/2008 15:13

pedilia · 02/04/2008 14:22

Heated · 02/04/2008 13:02

All are lovely. Rose and Rosa are less common than Evie/Eva which are enjoying a lot of populatity at present.

If I was going to be finiky, I like the simplicity of Rose, as in English Rose. Rosa Klebb did come to mind which is not enough to put me off the name and the version to choose if you have Italian roots, otherwise Rose imo.

PerkinWarbeck · 02/04/2008 12:58

all lovely, but I like Rose the best.
Eva seems really popular round my way at the moment, if that kind of thing bothers you (not that it should!).

piximon · 02/04/2008 12:58

I love Eva. One of my best friends is called Rosaria so I'm quite partial to Rosa too.

Anna8888 · 02/04/2008 12:57

Rose - pretty and very English
Rosa - reminds of Portuguese cleaning ladies
Eva - pretty and very Scandinavian

Slubberdegullion · 02/04/2008 12:57

Twinkie1 · 02/04/2008 12:53

Eva is very pretty - Rosa always makes me think of matronly italian ladies - like the one in Fireman Sam!

gingerninja · 02/04/2008 12:53

All lovely, Rosa being the loveliest

Slubberdegullion · 02/04/2008 12:53

Rose, but then I have a Rose and am somewhat biased

SlartyBartFast · 02/04/2008 12:53

i find rose dull tbh, can only remember rose the maid in uptairs downstairs.do like rosa and eva, italien sounding

Spaceman · 02/04/2008 12:52

I like them all, my friend just called hers Eva so I can't call my expectant baby that if it turns out to be a girl. Boo hoo. My DD wants to call the baby Rosie if it's a girl or a boy!

Rosa's the nicest.

MissPaulaYates · 02/04/2008 12:51

Rosa

cyteen · 02/04/2008 12:48

I think they're all lovely, but Rosa is my favourite
