Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

OnigiriJones · 29/04/2024 15:56

I thought this topic was going to be about a toddler playgroup. Not a bad name for one!

rosevioletcream · 29/04/2024 11:42

If this is real - could you just give a name that has the initials Jim ? For example Jade Imogen May ?

Best you are going to get right here

It's this kind of post that results in Billy Bragg calling MN a hate site isn't it?

He shouldn't have called his child Bilberly. He was asking for it.

Mirabai · 29/04/2024 16:23

Yes, I would work as well as Garryanne.

Soonenough · 29/04/2024 16:24

Perhaps Jimbolina would be more feminine. 🤔

LadyShimura · 29/04/2024 16:24

Unless your Michelle and Jimbob Duggar, I wouldnt.

(Anyone who doesnt know the Duggars. They had 19 kids, all with J names, including a daughter called Jinger.)

🤣🤣🤣🤣 @HectorPlasm

YOU are a fucking genius! 😆😆

Akamai · 29/04/2024 16:30

What about Jimena? (Meaning: Listener. A modern variation of Ximena, Jimena is a feminine name of Spanish origin.)

*my ADHD means I must take this seriously

AInightingale · 29/04/2024 16:34

The male form of James is Jemima which is quite nice. 'Jimberly' sounds like a talking puppet from children's TV.

Am assuming this is a joke - but wouldn’t Jaime/Jamie work better as it’s a unisex name, and based on James/Jim? (Think Jamie Summers, bionic woman…)

LikeTalkingToLassie · 29/04/2024 16:37

@AInightingale , Jemima isn't the feminine version of James.

Jemima is Hebrew nothing to do with James.

In Scotland, Jamesina is a name. Jimmi for short?
