Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

Allshallbewell2021 · 29/04/2024 22:55

Jimberley - no child deserved this!

Amx · 29/04/2024 22:55

Jimaxi as a nod to the taxi driver?

Amx · 29/04/2024 22:54

I'm getting pregnant immediately so I can call it Jim Pansy.

Crispsarethebestfood · 29/04/2024 22:53

‘What’s your name?’
’Jimberley’
’Kimberley?’
’No, Jimberley’.

For her whole life.

I much prefer Jamboree.

Shouldn't that be Jimberee? Grin

Justleaveitblankthen · 29/04/2024 22:50

Oh OP, This genuinely made me lol 😂😂
Am here for the comments 🍿

DojaPhat · 29/04/2024 22:49

I much prefer Jamboree.

BillieJ · 29/04/2024 22:46

Jamie
Jemima - you can use Jimmi as a nickname

or Jimmi with a feminine name eg Jimmi-Lynn - too American for me .

SabreIsMyFave · 29/04/2024 22:45

Put your hand up, if you've googled 'Is JIMBERLY a real name?' 😆

This thread has brought tears to my eyes. Thank you all.

LightSpeeds · 29/04/2024 22:39

😂😂😂😂

Fartly · 29/04/2024 22:35

Jimothy?

Toddlerteaplease · 29/04/2024 22:34

@WimbyAce I think he was named after his two grandfathers. The parents weren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

WhatNext24 · 29/04/2024 22:33

I'm really open minded but Jimberley is bonkers, sorry OP 😂

I would go for James as a middle name and give her a more conventional first
name. Ella James, Lily James, etc.

WimbyAce · 29/04/2024 22:32

Hartleyhare1206 · 29/04/2024 20:24

Maybe Jimmul? Then if you’re struggling for a middle name; you could consider Fixit🤔😄

This is brilliant 🤣

WimbyAce · 29/04/2024 22:31

Mycatsmudge · 29/04/2024 12:17

Sounds like those combined house names where the owners are Jim and Kimberley like Casa Bevron😁

Ah memories!

Toddlerteaplease · 29/04/2024 11:37

Hilarious, I knew a baby through work called Jimbob. We laughed a lot. (Out of sight and hearing of the parents)

Guessing they were fans of the Waltons. Goodnight Jim Bob!

Pipsquiggle · 29/04/2024 22:23

Please @Netruscan just no. It's awful

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 29/04/2024 22:21

VeryUnlikely · 29/04/2024 21:59

I think it's a good name. Better than Polinyx or Devereaux which are trending round here

"Polinyx"?! Hahaha ha. You could certainly have that as an alternative, possibly to "Polyfilla"

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 29/04/2024 22:19

OP, have you ever thought that you might say: "Have you put your Jimmy Jams on Jimberly?' at bedtime?

Or, "Do you fancy some Jimmy Jam with the butter in your sandwich, little Jimberly JimJam?"

😬

LadyShimura · 29/04/2024 22:18

Call the baby Gia. Giacomo is Italian version of James.

GoldenOreosAreAnOkCustardCreamSubstitute · 29/04/2024 22:17

Jaime

SharedAccountWithMySister · 29/04/2024 22:13

Rosie, after the two lovable ragdolls? That way it’s connected to Jim.

Greeneyegirl · 29/04/2024 22:06

Pretty sure James is higher up the rankings for girls than boys now so just do James
