Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

I know a Jimothy. Always assumed his parents had got a bit jumbled up when they went to Register the birth.

I knew a Benjeevan (the van part is pronounced like ‘one’ but with a v at the beginning). The father wanted Benyameen, the mother wanted Jeevan, so they went with Benjeevan.

Nooooo!!!!
Although to be honest with all the MNers who want a yoonique name I shouldn't be surprised

'It's true although he was born long before the internet so I don't think we can blame MN for that corker! Grin

Is this real 😂 when was this username made?

I must confess this is not my name and was made for effect last night.

Nor would I name my child this 😂

:Waves at Joe Lycett:

Do you feel a name change coming in Joe? Jimberly Lycett has such a lovely ring to it. 🫢

Need to stick an a or ella at the end to properly feminise the name.

I'm really open minded but Jimberley is bonkers, sorry OP 😂

I would go for James as a middle name and give her a more conventional first
name. Ella James, Lily James, etc.

You missed Harry. Can't have James & Lily without a Harry

KindaBinding81 · 30/04/2024 01:20

Sorry, I'm getting sanitary pads vibes from this name!

Plumchumm · 30/04/2024 01:08

The worst thing is after reading 20 pages about the name Jimberly, it’s actually growing on me now 😂

Plumchumm · 30/04/2024 01:07

I’ve never had any trouble, friends call me Jimber for short.

Frances0911 · 30/04/2024 00:49

How about Jimeline, Jimone, Jimanna or Jimivia?

uncomfortablydumb53 · 30/04/2024 00:38

Jimbeau perhaps?

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/04/2024 00:34

When she is a bit older she can go in her Jimperoo

HectorPlasm · 30/04/2024 00:25

So we can't agree? Looks like a Jimpasse.

HectorPlasm · 30/04/2024 00:22

Or Jimpetigo. Knocks spots off the others!

HectorPlasm · 30/04/2024 00:20

Have we had Jimodium yet? Hope I've not bought this thread to a halt

MegsNaiceJam · 30/04/2024 00:19

Hilarious, I knew a baby through work called Jimbob. We laughed a lot. (Out of sight and hearing of the parents)

Poor child I know someone who uses it as a nickname but his name is James.
