Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

What's your grandmother's name? (wife of Jim)

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:33

How about Jimbalonz?

Skiphopbump · 29/04/2024 11:33

JimALynn has a lovely ring to it.

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:32

ilovepixie · 29/04/2024 11:30

Or Jamesina or Jamesetta

Jamesina is too much like John Cena, she'll have endless "can't see her" jokes.

User1979289 · 29/04/2024 11:32

This is an excellent name, really great. 😂😂

checkedshirts · 29/04/2024 11:31

I prefer Jimothy. Or Jimon. Or at a push Jim-Jams.

Westfacing · 29/04/2024 11:30

Lovely

ilovepixie · 29/04/2024 11:30

Or Jamesina or Jamesetta

BigBadBarri · 29/04/2024 11:27

Jimerlina?

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:27

Sorry op but this actually made me snort 🤣 reminded me of that episode of friends where she wants to call one of the babies after her dad, Jiminy-Billy-Bob

You can't call your kid Jimberly. You know this.

Tbh Jimmy or Jim a middle name would be better than Jimberly.

WarningOfGails · 29/04/2024 11:26

I know a Jemima who is nicknamed Jimmy.

Spidey66 · 29/04/2024 11:26

Don't be silly!

I think Jamie is your best bet. Or hope you go onto having a boy later. Although in that scenario I'd call him James nn Jim.

ilovepixie · 29/04/2024 11:26

What about Jamie or Jemima

Moveoverdarlin · 29/04/2024 11:26

Um…no it will absolutely not work. Jimberly?! This has to be a wind up.

PivotPivotmakingmargaritas · 29/04/2024 11:25

Use Jemima, or Jamilla , Jameela and say after your grandad Jim not a made up name that she will hate you for!!

LightDrizzle · 29/04/2024 11:25

Jim, Jemima and Jamie/ Jamey all derive from James so there is the common root despite the different first vowel.

user09876543 · 29/04/2024 11:24

This can’t possibly be true. Just don’t. The poor thing

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/04/2024 11:24

Two minds with but a single thought ...

Moveoverdarlin · 29/04/2024 11:23

Skiphopbump · 29/04/2024 11:17

How about Jimobel or Jimoline?

Or even Germoline?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/04/2024 11:23

Skiphopbump · 29/04/2024 11:17

How about Jimobel or Jimoline?

Makes me think of this. Another pretty name. Grin

FrenchandSaunders · 29/04/2024 11:22

Oh no don't do this to her .... particularly if she turns out to be a bit rotund, poor lass.

LightDrizzle · 29/04/2024 11:22

That’s the funniest one I’ve heard. I’m actually making a slight noise.

I hope this is a joke but if not then it’s an absolute no. What about Jemima or Jamey?

Netruscan · 29/04/2024 11:22

BodenCardiganNot · 29/04/2024 11:20

Jimima?

We considered that but I think it's spelt : Jemima

Funny because I am having triplet girls and naming them after their grandad. Brianina, Brianella and Briangerina. Probably
