Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

Pretty sure this is a boys' name?!!??

It was on my shortlist for DS1, but Hubster said that it reminded him of the big US chain children's clothing shop Gymboree, so went with Brucetopher instead.

What about Jimmie, Jiji or Jeeks?

I think Jimmie is sweet .

I actually prefer it to Jaime for a girl.

Maybe Jimmul? Then if you’re struggling for a middle name; you could consider Fixit🤔😄

trainboundfornowhere · 29/04/2024 20:22

Jamesina
Jamie

There also appears to be a character in WIKI Fandom called Jimantha.

viques · 29/04/2024 20:22

Is that Jimoline , younger sister to Windoline? I think she’s the one who likes Wensleydale.

Alternative spelling: Jimburly? Good for a burly type of lass…

Jiminy Crikey
FAT JIM AMD THE BABY BAND

MountCaramel · 29/04/2024 20:19

Why don't you introduce yourself as Jimberley to the next stranger you meet. Their reaction will indicate what the rest of us think of that awful name. Please don't make your child a bullying target by calling her Jimberley. It's a fucking horrendous thing to do to a baby.

Jemima, Jaime, Gemma yes but absolutely no to Jimberley. Fucking awful.

viques · 29/04/2024 20:19

Anyone else getting Victoria Wood vibes “Have you seen my friend? She’s called Kimberley Jimberley.”

SnowyPetals · 29/04/2024 20:18

It's got to be Jimkhana surely?

Unicorntearsofgin · 29/04/2024 20:15

If you could manage to drop the M in Jim then Jizabel would be a beautiful choice.

And again with spelling tweaks you could have “ Jizzable.” And such a cute shortened version…

Calliopespa · 29/04/2024 20:08

Jimogina? Rhymes with …

LanaL · 29/04/2024 20:07

It sounds like when people put 2 names together to name a couple ! Like Jim and Kimberley

JollyJunee · 29/04/2024 20:07

This has probably already been mentioned, sorry don’t have time to read the thread. Hope it’s not a ‘cancel the cheque’ thing!
in Anne of Green Gables (Anne of the Island) she lives with Aunt Jamesina, named after her deceased father, but she gets Jimsie for everyday. Would that work?
