Which middle name would you give to Angelina? Preferably a middle name that is:
Internationally known
Works into adulthood
Feminine

So far I'm torn between:
Angelina Isabella
Angelina Sophia
Angelina Joëlle

Any other suggestions?

Edited

I came to say this!

WildCherryBlossom · 24/04/2024 14:51

Joëlle is popular in France and I've met several American women with the name.

As the feminine version of biblical Joel it's pretty international.

theduchessofspork · 24/04/2024 14:26

I don’t think Joelle is internationally known? Where is it a name?

I think Isabella and Sofia are too much with Angelina, you are better without a second ‘a’ ending

So maybe

Angelica Catherine
Angelica Charlotte
Angelica Caroline
Angelica Mary
Angelica Isabel
Angelica Lucy
Angelica Clio
Angelica Rachel
Angelia Louise

Koptforitagain · 24/04/2024 04:31

Bella
Marta
Lucia
Carmen
Francesca
Paloma

mathanxiety · 24/04/2024 02:57

Angelina Simone
Angelina Giselle
Angelina Margot
Angelina Eloise
Angelina Carmen
Angelina Raquel
Angelina Beatriz
Angelina Noemi
Angelina Nicole

I think you could use a name that ends in A for a middle name.
From your list, Angelina Sophia is really nice imo, and also Angelina Isabella.

Angelina Maria
Angelina Veronica
Angelina Matilda
Angelina Lucia
Angelina Diana
Angelina Margarita
Angelina Olivia
Angelina Emilia
Angelina Andrea
Angelina Bianca
Angelina Paloma
Angelina Victoria
Angelina Elena

Jolie. Julie.

Angelina Julie makes me LOL 😆

Sounds like the name of a tribute act. Like Bjorn Again the Abba Tribute. Or Blobby Williams, the Robbie Williams one! Grin

CloudsHailRainbows · 23/04/2024 22:43

Jolie. Julie.

Snugglemonkey · 23/04/2024 22:43

I thought immediately that a one syllable name would work well and thought Joy. Just because I love it. But I am not sure how international it is, or if it is too close to Jolie. Joyce?

How about:
Luz
Jeanne
Merle
Kim
Claude
Brigh/ Bree
Belle
Jade
Anne

Angie is likely to be her nickname, do you mind that?

mangy?

I’ve know loads of Angies and have never once heard them called mangy 😂

Angelina May

The Angelina Ballerina books were my favourite to read to my DD when she was little!

miniaturepixieonacid · 23/04/2024 21:49

Isabella and Sophia are beautiful but I agree that they are a little much/non flowy with Angelina. Not that people say both names together much so I wouldn't worry about that if you love them. Joelle however, is, in my opinion, far too close to Angelina Jolie.

I've taught quite a few Spanish girls with names that are quite recognisable to me in the UK (international pupils in a British boarding school). Most do end in a though:
Angelina Belen
Angelina Claudia
Angelina Maria
Angelina Inez
Angelina Alejandra
Angelina Marta
Angelina Victoria
Angelina Elisa
Angelina Rocio

I missed the Angelina Ballerina reference as I have no idea who that is. But it seems to be some cartoon character that I have never heard of in my life

Yeah sorry about that! I have 2 daughters (now mid 20s) and they liked Angelina Ballerina when they were little girls. Smile

Like a pp, I would suggest a one-syllable name to go with Angelina. It's a nice name. Smile

Ono, I only just saw your post, sorry! - its automatic,
Angelina Ballerina,
so pink, fey, determined, loved that book

popoti · 23/04/2024 21:22

Manur

SOxon · 23/04/2024 21:21

Ballerina

primroseandplum · 23/04/2024 21:19

Straight away I thought Angelina Rose, and see it has already been suggested.

Helado · 23/04/2024 21:18

olivebranch31 · 23/04/2024 21:16

I would go for a one syllable middle name:

Angelina Grace
Angelina Rose
Angelina Kate

Thank you for the suggestions. It's a good idea in theory, but the particular names you mentioned are pretty English, and aren't really used where I live. But I'll see if there are one syllable names from here that I like :)

Thanks!
