We are thinking of Joseph, just wondering what people's views were.

My dads middle name (he is 75)

Always seems a great name whoever I hear it on and not commonplace

I don't much like Jo (female) though..

I have a Joseph born on Christmas Eve. Everyone presumed that's why he was Joseph but actually we'd picked the name out when we first started ttc 5 years previously (when we obviously had no clue about the due date!). Great name

PurpleChrayn · 21/04/2024 16:44

Really nice. It's on our list for a second boy. We already have an Isaac so we like our biblical names!

clarrylove · 21/04/2024 16:25

I've got a Joseph. Was always JoJo when younger, which turned to Joseph, and in his teens turned to Joe. Still love it but it is quite common.

IsThePopeCatholic · 21/04/2024 16:22

Love it.

SallyWD · 21/04/2024 15:26

A really good name. I love it.

PTSDBarbiegirl · 21/04/2024 15:15

Gorgeous name, I love it.

Holstomorrow · 21/04/2024 15:13

It’s a great name.

Tulipvase · 21/04/2024 13:07

I have a Joseph, Joe. I don’t know of any others in his year. Obviously I love it!

Scarletttulips · 21/04/2024 13:05

Not overly popular seeing as everyone here knows some one - 3 in my sons year they were Joseph Joe and Joey to distinguish them.

PennyPugwash · 21/04/2024 13:02

Love it. One of my boys middles names :)

Deipara · 21/04/2024 13:01

I have a Joseph!

TheFormidableMrsC · 21/04/2024 12:59

My son is Joseph. Chosen because it's a good strong name. At school he's "Joe" but I don't shorten it because it feels weird!

WaltzingWaters · 21/04/2024 12:56

Lovely. Classic but still nice/trendy rather than outdated, and not overused. I love Joey as a nn.

Spidey66 · 21/04/2024 12:54

Lovely strong name

SleepySundaySloth · 21/04/2024 12:53

I like Joseph but I don’t like Joe as a shortened version of it. My friends son is called Joseph, he goes by Joseph or J/Jay.

BoleynMemories13 · 21/04/2024 12:40

You can't go wrong with a traditional classic. Joseph is very handsome and Joe is a great day to day short form.

My close friend has a Joseph who is 2.

TeethingProbIems · 21/04/2024 12:13

I love it. I have a Joel and always wish I went for Joseph.

Nicebloomers · 21/04/2024 10:05

A fine name. I’m surprised it’s not more common. Works well at all ages. Great choice.

TeenDivided · 21/04/2024 08:19

Great name.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 21/04/2024 08:17

I think he may have been duped by Mary.🤔

itsgettingweird · 21/04/2024 07:07

Love it.

My son has it as his middle name!

Snap!

Yirk · 21/04/2024 07:50

We have two Joes!! One old one young, its a classic name, love Joseph.

MissingMoominMamma · 21/04/2024 07:50

I have a Joseph, so I’m biased. I love it!

Axx · 21/04/2024 07:47
