There's a lot of names on Mumsnet that get love but don't in the real world - it seems this is one of them, it's terrible!

It's very much in the current trend of old man names, which means it will date. I don't mind it as a name though.

I used to know a Great Dane called Stanley, he was a good egg.

I love Stanley! I know a fab 11 year old Stanley and it suits him brilliantly.
