I know this isn't in the top 10 but can I have opinions on Bradley (Brad) please?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Bradley is the name of the haven bear. So if you want him growing up to be known as Bradley bear then do it 🙈

Never heard of Bradley bear or anyone who has said this about the name. I don't like it though.

WhamBamThankU · 20/04/2024 10:15

It's a bit old fashioned to me, all the Bradley's I know are 30+

Moreteaandchocolate · 20/04/2024 10:06

Not too keen personally

WhiteLeopard · 20/04/2024 09:56

I like it. I know two - one in his 40s who is always a Brad and one age 14 who doesn't get shortened.

My brother's name is Bradley. He has never been called "Bradley Bear". I've met several people with the first name Bradley, and none with the surname

Brad is a good nickname that can be used on a child or an adult.

I say, go for it!

Totally agree. I know plenty of Bradley’s, although all late 20s early 30s, never heard any of them referred to as Bradley Bear.

some of the links stated here are tedious.

I think it's probably a fairly small percentage of people who might have enough to make that specific link.

And tbh is 'bear' as a nickname that bad anyway?

The name is fine. Not very well used these days. Not necessarily on my list but it's not a way out there name, offensive or unpleasant type of name.

I suspect it would be shortened to Brad a lot, as the child got older. Would this bother you?

sandrie · 20/04/2024 09:41

Bradley is a surname and wet, but Brad is almost the opposite. I don't like it at all.

caringcarer · 20/04/2024 09:33

I named my DS Bradley about a year before Brad Pitt became famous. So the name Bradley went from hardly no one using it to being very popular very quickly. I like it and my son likes it. No one has ever called him 'Bradley bear'. As an adult everyone just calls him Brad. Had I known that Brad Pitt would make the name popular Id have chosen another name though.

I'm not keen either. It's a commonplace surname.

tiredandabitfat · 20/04/2024 09:08

I'm not keen on it.

But I hate do you mean about it not being in the top 10? Why does that matter?

Yep, your kids name is probably awful too.

Doesn't matter though.

The OP asked for peoples opinions though.

chocolateisavegetable · 20/04/2024 08:56

I like it

Awful, sorry

Doesn't matter what other people think.

If you like it, use it.
