Opinions on the name Milo for a boy? I love it but just questioning the wearability on an adult, but not sure if I’m overthinking it.

@Femme2804 you're the one that dramatically said "Please don't" like the OP had suggested naming their baby Pineapple or something equally ridiculous (rather than Milo - a perfectly normal name!)
😂😂😂😂😂

lol 😂😂whatever

@Femme2804 Google "people called Milo". It's a perfectly ordinary name.

Geez. 😂😂😂 why you are so triggered by this. I know how to use google. I can use it but i dont want to. Its my opinion and i wont change it. Milo its like a dog name. So many people agreed with me also in this thread. Relax 🤣🤣

@Femme2804 Milo is a "human" name - why would you say it isn't ?
I've never met a dog called Milo but I know an actual human in real life called Milo (plus a fictional one in a long running novel series and have heard of several actors called Milo).

Edited

Because to be honest never hear anyone name milo before. I know lots of dogs name mile though.

Great name with a lovely meaning, works for all ages too which not all names do.
There's a guy at work called Milo, he's about 30. DD has a Milo in her class too. I've only known one dog called Milo years back but then I've also known dogs called Sam, Rosie, Lily, Jake, Alfie...

@Femme2804 so what if the name Milo is used for a brand of milky drink.
Can people not use the name Ben because it's also the name of a rice brand ?

well its like milk and also like a dog name. So for me its no. Ben its a human name not an animal. OP asking about our opinion.

Milo its a milk brand in australia and Asia. Also a dog name. Please dont.

It's not a milk brand here or particularly a dog name 🙄

No I really dislike it, also really dislike Miles

Pineconepicture · 20/04/2024 21:36

I love it but ultimately didn't use it because it feels very canine, as others have said. There is a Milo in Ds's class...still makes me think of The Mask.

Crapuscular · 20/04/2024 15:58

I saw a dog toy with the name Milo on it just this morning.
There were loads of these toys .
Parents to be might want to pop to a pet shop and check the names out.

Barneys, Marleys, Alfies, Marthas...

It's also gaining popularity in the Infant School too.

raspberryberet7 · 20/04/2024 15:51

Love it

wombpaloumbpa · 20/04/2024 15:26

I hate it sorry

BreatheAndFocus · 20/04/2024 14:52

Yes - nice name and will sound fine for an adult too 😊

Ioverslept · 20/04/2024 14:38

Yes, it probabluy helps that I know a lovely boy called Milo

theduchessofspork · 20/04/2024 14:36

I like it.

Lots of Milos around so perfectly normal for an adult

SnowFrogJelly · 20/04/2024 00:36

Yes love it 💙

User85468 · 20/04/2024 00:04

Thanks for all the responses and suggestions. Miles wouldn’t be an option as it doesn’t work with our surname, it needs to be two plus syllables really.

Just want to settle on a name I love but perhaps I’m being too fussy - boys names are hard! 😂

No, you're not overthinking it. It's 'cutesy', a bit try-hard and overused What's wrong with the more grown-up 'Miles'? You could always use Milo as a nn if you must.

Milo is nice and I think it's fine for an adult I don't think it sounds babyish at all.
I don't like Miles at all it has a completely different feel than Milo

NamingConundrum · 19/04/2024 22:15

Animal name for me! Could go Maximilian which could be shortened to max, milo or miles

Justkeeprollingalong · 19/04/2024 22:12

I don't know any cats, dogs or horses called Milo. It's a great name for a boy!
