We have almost decided on the name Rosie for our baby girl. However, my husband has suggested Rosalie which is more unusual and has lots of nickname options. Which one should we pick?

We also like Rose but it doesn’t work with our surname.

Rosie is so pretty , Rosalie is pretty as well but I would worried it would be pronounced Rosie Lee .

I like the Thin Lizzie song Rosalie. Rosie is lovely but Rosalie is just a bit more unusual. I like Rosa as a nn

Rosalie and you can call her Rosie day to day. Like pp, I also like Rosa or Rosalind or Rosamond as more formal names for a Rosie

I prefer Rosalie but wouldn't want people to think her name was Rosa Lee or Rosy Lee.

I also like Rosa and Rosamund.

I love Rosie. Rosalie is nice but just a bit too frilly for my taste. I think Rosie is gorgeous and doesn’t need anything extra!

If you name her Rosalie then you (and she) can use both options as and when you (and she) prefer.
