HELP - can’t think of a name!!!

We are due a girl in September. And simply cannot find a name we “LOVE”, so I need the help of the hive mind.

We want an “ee” ending, like Bonnie or Marnie, but want something more unique/different. Not afraid of unisex names like Allie or Marley, either. Please help me brainstorm 😢

I like the suggestion above of Brodie. It’s cute on a girl.

You could do Aurora, nn Rorie
Coralie, nn Corie
Persephone, nn Sephie

We have a Zephyr, nn Zephy. He’s a boy but it’s a unisex name. Zephyr is a springtime wind so it’s suitable for babies born in the spring :)

It's also a motorbike.

I find it SO hard to remember siblings names when they sound too similar.
It's much easier to remember them when their names are different-my opinion of course, but I have worked with children for ever!!

Are you going to give them a 'proper' name and use the diminutive? Harriet-hattie for example? It's nice for them to have a 'professional' name when they get older.
I love Zoe though, which doesn't need shortening or lengthening

I appreciate why people do that but it’s not something we’ll do. Just personal preference really! My name is a unisex “nickname” and I’ve never had an issue, in fact I’ve quite liked it. Our eldest is Teddy, not Theodore or Edward. Just Teddy. We knew we’d always call him Teddy so we went straight for that name. I know that’s not some people's vibe and I fully respect it, it’s just not something we opt for.

What even is professional? Nobody isn’t getting hired simply because their legal name is Steph instead of Stephanie.

Was thinking the same.

Eden with the nickname Edie? I know Edie is a name in itself though.

aperolspritzbasicbitch · 17/04/2024 20:01

Gigi?
