How many do you know of, and roughly what age are they?

I know 2. One is 9, one is 13.

Nursemumma92 · 08/04/2024 20:29

I know a 7yo and a 6 month old baby Clara, in South west.

thesleepyhoglet · 08/04/2024 20:25

I know loads sadly. It's a lovely name but seems to be growing in popularity

VivaVivaa · 08/04/2024 20:22

I know 2 and have met a 3rd. All under the age of 5. I’ve never met any before that! It’s a stunning name and the 2 I know well are both wonderful children.

Moveoverdarlin · 08/04/2024 00:11

I know 2. Both reception age.

shouldntbeonhereagain · 08/04/2024 00:09

It's pretty popular here South East. Same group as Arla Isla.etc. we thought we had an original classic name for our (8 year old) but sadly not anymore !

OctaviaRedQueen · 08/04/2024 00:05

I know a 6yo Clara too! Have only met 2 others, both under 11.

Lampzade · 07/04/2024 23:51

My cousin is 48 and the only person I know with the name Clara .
Lovely name

TargetPractice11 · 07/04/2024 23:46

I love Clara.

I would have named my daughter Clara, however we live in Australia and I don't like it with the Australian accent

FH27 · 07/04/2024 23:45

I know one 3 year old Clara.

Lightningrain · 07/04/2024 22:54

I love it and considered it but the pronunciation issue put me off. I know in America it would be Clare-a.

Gingerlygreen · 07/04/2024 22:50

My Nan was Clara, she pronounced it Clare-a, I know 3 more under 5's and they are pronounced C-lara

User0311 · 07/04/2024 22:44

Beautiful name

InMyTwinMumEra · 07/04/2024 22:42

I’ve only ever met one who will be in her early 30’s now, it’s a lovely name.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 07/04/2024 22:38

I went to school with one so she’d be in her late 30s now, I also know of one newborn called Clara (the sister of a student I teach born last month). Don’t think I know of any others.

PheobeBebe · 07/04/2024 22:37

I know one, 12yo

verylongday · 07/04/2024 22:36

My grandmother was called clara. If I'd had a daughter i would have used the name. Its beautiful imo.

MrsKeats · 07/04/2024 22:34

I have never taught one in nearly 20 years so unusual I would say.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 07/04/2024 22:29

I have one in her mid teens, the only one in her school & dc5(6) has one in his class, also the only one in the school. I know of 1 other, who'd be 10 or 11 now too. It's still my favourite name & Dd likes her name too.

soundsys · 07/04/2024 22:25

I know quite a few, all under 6. (East London). My 4yo was very nearly a Clara but too popular!

theduchessofspork · 07/04/2024 22:20

3 under 11

It’s a nice name

MiddleChildHits40 · 07/04/2024 22:15

It was my choice of girls name in 2004. My DS is now nearly 20! I still love it.

It is actually my middle name and I am pushing 50 :)

I know one other one aged 28 and that’s it.

Fab name.

dreamersdown · 07/04/2024 22:11

I have a 1 year old Clara! I know a 6 year old Clara but no other babies - but the whole nursery class is A names - Isla, Aria, Lara, Ava, Bella, Ella, Marla. So while Clara itself less usual, it does sadly feel a little bit “trendy” when she’s in the mix with her peers.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 07/04/2024 22:09

I’m a 48 year old one 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mumofgirls2017 · 07/04/2024 22:06

2 aged 5
