Nope.

I've seen too many 'interesting' school pupils with this name.

Same. And strangely, they all spelled it differently! Mac, Mc, Mak, Mk…

70sdisco · 09/04/2024 12:57

Not keen sorry.

JingsMahBucket · 09/04/2024 12:55

What’s wrong with a name being American?

ohpoowhatnow · 09/04/2024 11:40

I like it !!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 09/04/2024 08:05

Thinking about the future... there is a road near us called Macauley Avenue, if your son were to move there one day and replaced his house number with 'Macauley House' his name and address would look pretty impressive on credit and bank loan requests.

SunnyFog · 09/04/2024 07:43

I like it - it's got a nice sound.

35andThriving · 08/04/2024 22:32

I like it but would never use it because of other people's perceptions of the name.

ginasevern · 26/03/2024 17:52

American, surname, low rent.

Berlinlover · 26/03/2024 16:15

I like it but it would probably be shortened to Mac.

PlantDoctor · 26/03/2024 15:41

Don't like the sound of it and everyone would immediately think of the actor as it's not a common name.

WhiteDigestives · 26/03/2024 15:38

Culkin, Home Alone.

AngelQuartz · 26/03/2024 14:11

I know a couple of Macauley’s and they get called Macca which is awful. Sorry 😂

Liv999 · 26/03/2024 13:38

Don't particularly like Macauley but I do quite like Mack

NotFastButFurious · 26/03/2024 12:45

KnickerlessParsons · 26/03/2024 12:42

It would make me think you can't spell McCauley

although I'd assume it was meant to be McAuley or MacAuley!

KnickerlessParsons · 26/03/2024 12:42

It would make me think you can't spell McCauley

Viewfrommyhouse · 26/03/2024 12:36

Reminds me of Robson Greenes son in Soldier Soldier. Its not great.

NotFastButFurious · 26/03/2024 12:34

awful unless it's a scottish surname

KirstenBlest · 26/03/2024 07:44

Jilly Cooper horse name. Surname.

Overtheatlantic · 26/03/2024 01:25

It really doesn’t travel well outside the U.S. but then neither do many English names work outside of England - Felix, Albie, Jasper, Alfie

user1492757084 · 26/03/2024 01:18

Prefer Mac or Mack, honestly.

INeedToClingToSomething · 25/03/2024 23:54

I like it. But I seem to really like American names. (not a fan of Randy though lol!). And I also seem to like surnames as first names.

PurpleSealion · 25/03/2024 22:39

Prefer MacKenzie, but wouldn't have either

idontlikealdi · 25/03/2024 22:24

Awful. It's a surname at best.
