Tabitha or Felicity?

Sibling for Beatrix. Middle name suggestions welcome too! I prefer Tabitha but our surname begins with T. Does this matter?

Thankyou!

i like Tabitha best, but Felicity is nice too.

mangobananasmooothie · 21/03/2024 22:00

Love Tabitha but would never use it if I had a T surname, it just sounds so twee. On that basis I would use Felicity which is very pretty and Lissy, Fliss or Flick are cute nicknames.

both are nice, but i'd go with felicity. tabitha is a nice name but a bit "old lady"

KayEmAy · 21/03/2024 19:36

I like Felicity more but I am actually a fan of alliteration so I wouldn't let a T surname stop you from using Tabitha:)

some middle name ideas:

Tabitha Sarah
Tabitha Eden
Tabitha Phoebe
Tabitha Quinn

Felicity Nora
Felicity Blair
Felicity Emma
Felicity Alix

wildcards:
Tessa Lily
Abigail Ivy
Thea Felicity nn Teddy if she likes
Deirdre Jane
Lauren Odette

Love Tabitha
Tabitha, Jemima, Tallulah and Beatrice, love them

miniaturepixieonacid · 14/03/2024 22:17

I much prefer Felicity. I'm not keen on Tabitha and, with a sibling Beatrix, I think the combo is far too Beatrix Potter.

If you prefer Tabitha then how about Talitha or Tassita? Similar vibe to Felicity and Beatrix without the Potter link?

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 12/03/2024 20:03

Adore Tabitha and think it has a similar quirky, fun feel to Beatrix. I love alliteration (makes a name more memorable imo) so your surname starting with T would be a bonus for me.

Felicity is more sweet, boho kind of style to me - nice name but prefer Tabitha, especially with Beatrix ( also slightly prefer Tabitha’s nn’s Kitty or Tabby to Fliss or Flick personally).

Tabitha Blythe or Eve maybe?

peaceinourtime · 12/03/2024 14:44

Felicity for sure. With Tabitha-Tabitha the cat 🙄and she will become tabs

user1492757084 · 12/03/2024 13:16

Beatrix and Felicity for sure.
Trix and Flicks, Bea and Flit,

Felicity Kate
Felicity Sarah
Felicity Jane
Felicity Ellen
Felicity Davina

Do you like Lucille?

KirstenBlest · 11/03/2024 13:05

Tabiffa puts me off.
Tabitha Wendy Ann is lovely.

Beamur · 11/03/2024 13:04

Prefer Felicity. Verity is similar.
Not keen on Tabitha. I know a teen one and she gets called 'Tabs'

Gowlett · 11/03/2024 13:03

Tabitha.

VenusClapTrap · 11/03/2024 13:01

If you do go for Tabitha, just be mindful of initials when choosing middle names. You probably want to avoid Isobel, or Wendy Ann, for example.

OctaviaRedQueen · 11/03/2024 12:40

I would probably go Felicity.

Beatrix and Tabitha are a bit Potter-esque for me but then I do quite like the idea of sisters Tabby and Trixie!

hlc123 · 11/03/2024 11:41

Love Tabitha, never liked the name Felicity

KirstenBlest · 11/03/2024 11:23

Is the surname Twitchit?

TheRealMummyPig · 11/03/2024 11:00

I love Tabitha 😊 what about Tabitha Rose? You could even call her Tabby Rose for short (even if not on birth certificate as such)
Something similar is Araminta, Minty for short

TheOriginalEmu · 11/03/2024 10:32

I’d pick Tabitha, i think TT names are fine.
Tabitha Eve is nice

Scrumbleton · 11/03/2024 10:04

Felicity - Tabitha is a cats name for me

Forgottenmypasswordagain · 11/03/2024 02:53

Tabitha

MariaVT65 · 11/03/2024 02:52

I prefer Felicity.

Tabitha makes me think of a cat. ‘Tabby’

RogueFemale · 11/03/2024 02:33

Another vote for Tabitha. It's a lovely soft sound. Felicity sounds harsh.

VenusClapTrap · 10/03/2024 21:23

I’d choose Tabitha, but they’re both nice.

SkaneTos · 10/03/2024 17:58

They are both lovely names.
