How would you pronounce Violet. I say Vi O Let but have lots of friends saying Vi Let

I Sauvignon-Uh-Let. . I’d never use this name because I know so many people who say Vi-Let.

I do it the 3 syllable way but an ‘er’ rather than ‘oh’ in the middle
so Vi-a-lut

VI uh let. Emphasis on the first syllable, exactly as the flower and the last colour in the rainbow.

Agreed. I've never heard anyone say Vi O Let.

The middle sound merges into the third.

I like the name but if it bothers you today others will say it differently to you, then I wouldn't choose it.

Otoh, by the time she's a teen she'll be Vi to everyone I expect.
