Girl/boy twins short list

DD and DS are due in 2 months but we’re having trouble deciding on a name. DH and I have agreed on the two shortlist but unfortunately can’t seem to get any further! Very grateful for any opinions

I wouldn't use Sasha for a girl because in russian it is a male (nick)name.

Agree with PP that Harper and Jago are not as nice.

My favourites are Lara and Patrick!

My 4 month old nephew is called Sacha but it’s my DB’s middle name too and he has a Russian sort of diminutive name too as a first name. We’ve known plenty of girls called Sacha and a Russian NDN is called this whether as a nickname unsure.

Amelie - nothingy. Emily is nicer
Harper - awful

Reuben - not keen

Jago - too vogue-ish

I’d avoid Sasha as it’s a bit unisex for boy/ girl twins imo Harper and Jago are my least favourite by miles. The rest are great.

I like Beatrice and Reuben the best.

I think you could pair Jago with any of the girls names. Harper I don’t like.

1, 2 and 5 of girls names I like and all but the last 2 of the boys names.

I like Patrick best of your boy list. I like Alexander but not crazy about Alex so would probably use it as a middle name. Patrick Alexander??

From you girl list I like Isabel and Lara (both on my list!) and Charlotte, but not Lottie.

Patrick and Lara is a nice combo I think.

Yep - Sasha is Alexander in Russian, definitely wouldn’t be using those two together (as much as I love them!)

You have chosen some really lovely names!

My favourites are Lara and Sebastian but Isabel and Alexander are close seconds. Henry, Amelie and Reuben are also great but I really don't like Jago nor Harper!

I get the appeal of Maeve, Patrick and Conor if you have Irish heritage or Jago if Cornish heritage but your other choices are too trendy for me ( well maybe not Sebastian- but I hate Seb!)

Yep.. we’re from NI hence the Irish name appeal. No Cornish heritage - I just know a young Jago and have always admired his name, almost never heard of here but definitely thinks it’s been crossed off now!
