Our 2yo DD is called Winter and her little sister is due in May and we are struggling with names. We have a few we like but can't decide on one. So not sure if just haven't come across the perfect name yet. We mostly like names that aren't too common, or too uncommon, so somewhere in the middle. Nature themed, whimsical names we like the most. Our list so far is:

Astrid
Dahlia
Ophelia
Nova
Lilith
Juniper
Pandora (least favourite)
Arabella

I love Winter.
From your list, I like Dahlia and Juniper. I don't really like Arabella or Ophelia.
Love Seren as per a pp's suggestion.

My first thought was Daphne. Sounds similarly floaty, and in the myth daphne turned into a laurel tree so it's kind of nature-related.

Astrid is gorgeous and sits with Winter beautifully

Onelife2024 · 19/02/2024 15:41

Astrid is definitely my favourite from your list - a lovely name. I quite like Juniper, Dahlia and Nova. Lilith is ok but might be misheard as Lily. I find Arabella and Ophelia a bit pretentious sounding, but that probably varies depending where you live. I’m not too keen on Pandora.

Other ideas -

Seren
Iris
Cassia
Willow
Wren
Robyn
Ruby
Sienna
Savannah

@thatneverhappened Willow is lovely but want to avoid anything too similar. Different but compliments, if that makes sense.
