we dont go for 'popular' names, so needs to not be in the top ten now or recently.

nothing too unusual either.

dh family has scottish roots. maybe something to influence?

MaryAnn, that is a LOVELY idea [weep]

Rosie
Paige
Megan

No idea if those are in the top 10 but I like them!
I find boys names much harder to come up with. I do like Harrison, Jack and Alfie though.

how about Petra, with reference to her dad (new life etc) though it does make me think of Blue Peter dog

Pinkchampagne · 24/03/2008 13:07

Think Ruby is in the top 10 now, so that is a no no!

Congratulations btw! Lovely news.

Pinkchampagne · 24/03/2008 13:05

Maya
Carys

How about Ailish or Fiona?

I think Christie is the female spelling (think Christie Brinkley). Lovely name for a boy or a girl but we used Christian for DS1 instead.

sweetkitty · 24/03/2008 10:54

I was in a similar position a few weeks ago misdee another girls name I think we may have decided on Bethany.

Other ones I liked were

Eilidh (pronounced Ailey) but too close to Abbie and would be difficult outside Scotland
Elodie
Iona is lovely as well

misdee · 24/03/2008 10:49

lol.

i have docs next week, and hopefully scan in 4 weeks.

maybe you could just say 'oh very well' lol.

justr worried someone will tell the girls before we do.

WHAT??? This is killing me , keeping it all in.
People ask me how you're doing and it takes all of my willpower not to say!!

misdee · 24/03/2008 10:34

not yet PC, havent told the girls yet.

Lauren was very popular in the 80's/90's but not so much in 2002 when she was born. i think it is getting more popular now though.

MadameCh0let · 24/03/2008 10:28

Lauren is very popular, so you have a mixture of styles there.

I suggest Esme. Iona Skye is lovely!!
