Odette is beautiful, also like xanthe and Celeste. Not keen on the others

All are very pretty/elegant/balletic with the exception of: Cressida, which is the name of Bridgerton character who isn't very nice

I have to agree with @whosaidtha - they are all a bit try hard, except for Celeste which is lovely.

Xanthe - ok, wouldn't use it
Celeste / Celestia - Celeste is OKish but sounds like a contraceptive, Celestia is awful
Cressida - ok but makes me think of cress
Olympia - ok but makes me think of exhibitions
Odette - not keen
Allegra - lovely

Allegra is the only one I like

I think they’re a bit grand and pretentious. Sorry, they’re all very pretty, but that’s the connotation, for me

I like Xanthe very much.
I also like Allegra
Then Cressida and Odette ( Churchill)
Not a fan of Olympia as it is a lot to live up to
I don't like Celeste ; not sure why ( hon mention to Holm)

I love Allegra

Quite like Cressida - it used to be a joke posh girl name I think, like Arabella, but that’s mainstream so don’t see why Cressida can’t be.

I sort of love Olympia, but it is full on

Ianthe is much nicer than Xanthe

Celeste / Celestia - it always sounds like the name of a contraceptive pill to me, and Odette sounds like odour.

I was at school with a Xanthe and I'm mid 50s now - she remains the only one I've ever met.

This also means I am old enough to think that Allegra sounds too much like a car (Austin Allegro!)

Xanthe and Celeste are the nicest. I also love Hebe, Cassia, Emerald and Lowenna, which seem along similar lines.
