I am so stuck. I have girls' names galore, please give me nice slightly arty boys' names that won't get hugely popular in a year or two

Oooh can I still post here?

Cooool.

Rowingboat · 17/03/2008 18:58

Doblo, what kind of car is that? I've never heard of it??
Lovely name though, for a Tolkein character.
I noticed you said you liked names from nature F&Zooey, so that's not really cars then...
What about Ash or Rowan (or is that too Mr Bean?)

MrsJohnCusack · 17/03/2008 18:58

is it full yet?

Marlow (DS's middle name after the Joseph Conrad character)

harpsichordcarrier · 17/03/2008 18:51

Orlando? Like Gibbons

LarryVeest · 17/03/2008 18:51

Madame - no. (I do like his DC's names though).

FrannyandZooey · 17/03/2008 18:46

Jowan (pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable ie. Jo'un) is cornish for John and is lovely.

Nbg · 17/03/2008 18:36

just another I remembered

Millen

PhoenixCymru · 17/03/2008 18:22

How about Petroc? Could be shortened to Pete or Rocky/ Rocco?

MadameCh0let · 17/03/2008 18:15

Are you Mark James LarryVeest? Are your other children Artie short for Artemis and Leo short for Galileo? By any chance?

LarryVeest · 17/03/2008 18:04

Geronimo. Ronnie for short (DS's name)

PatsyCline · 17/03/2008 17:15

Oh, just a thought with a Wuthering Heights angle - one of my favourite men in the world is called Heath and I also know a Linton. Oh, and continuing the theme, Kate Bush's DS is called Bertie.

Coming from another angle, there's a tradition here of calling boys by a family surname (eg: Robson Greene). It sometimes results in some very cool and pretty unique names. Might be worth a try, F&Z!

belgo · 17/03/2008 16:42

I also haven't worked out F&Z's ds's name, but everyone else seems to know it!

MadameCh0let · 17/03/2008 16:30

What is HC?

I've read all million posts and I don't know what your first child is called. Enlighten me somebody. Do you want 2nd name to be in same style as first.

Narrow it down for us. Tell us what names nearly but not quite tick your box.

ARe we at 1000 yet?!
