my mum doesn't like my choice of name

We had a baby girl nine weeks ago and picked me and my husband both liked. Her name is Leila Grace. My mum doesn't like it and I don't know why but I feel really sad about it.

I just wondered what you people think of her name?

It's not your mum's baby. Tell her to mind her own business. She had you and she chose your name. This one is yours.

Leila as in the eric clapton song? (looking for pronunciation here) It's fine. And even if you'd called her ermintrude grizadella it's STILL none of your mum's business!

I don't know, mothers seem to think that just because they gave birth to us, they can say what they damn well like. My mother is like this and it p's me off.
