Do you pronounce it El-a-nor or El-a-na?

Thanks all.

I am due in 3 weeks and really love Eleanor Grace.

I think I will say El-a-nor as it sounds better than EL-A-NA with my surname. Will say Ella for short as I prefer it to Ellie (no offence intended!)

First way.

That's why I chose Eleanor rather than Elena. Actually she get's called Ellie most often.

flowerybeanbag · 11/03/2008 16:36

Well it's my name and I think I've only ever had one person refer to me as El-a-nor not El-a-na.

c4it · 11/03/2008 16:27

My DD is Elena - we pronounce it like Helena but without the H

Fimbo · 11/03/2008 16:23

What Rosealbie said!

Ds would have been Elinor if he had been a she!

BigBadMouse · 11/03/2008 16:23

Surely El-a-nor never heard it pronounced El-a-na .

Have heard of Alana and Alanis - pronounced as spelt.

rosealbie · 11/03/2008 16:20

I would pronounce that spelling the first way. Ds has a girl in his class who is Elena.

isaidno · 11/03/2008 16:20

El - en -er

JackieNo · 11/03/2008 16:19

I say both. Sorry. NO help, I know.

dizzydixies · 11/03/2008 16:19
